criss cross applesauce

Hi everybody

My name is Meri and I am new to the forum and to brainev. I started out with Zen12 a couple of months back, but since I listened to the 12-20 minutes Zen12 recordings 2-3x times a day, I thought I could go for the full experience :-)

My question is about the sitting position during doing brainev. I understand that you are not supposed to cross your arm or legs (because this may affect blood circulation, I assume).
However, I am used to the "criss cross applesauce" sitting position while doing meditative work. If this does not lead to disadvanteges, I would like to use it also during brainev.

Any thoughts/comments on this?

Hi Meri,

Not sure, but I think the theory has to do with interference of the left/right brain synchronization.  Not sure it really matters, though, as thousands (millions?) of people have successfully meditated "criss cross".

Maybe Tiffany will have a better (or at least "official") response....
