Hello from UK
« on: July 26, 2011, 04:21:32 AM »
Hi

I started using brain ev many years ago but never got past level 2.
This time I am determined to complete the levels.

Before I start, I need some advice on how to play the cd's.

I would like to download the files so that I can put them on my iPhone. I have emailed support to access the files.

In the meantime I am planning to play them using QuickTime on my mac.
I don't have a cd player.

Is it ok to play them in QuickTime?

Looking forward to trying these CDs again

Cheers
Sandy

Hi and welcome back! Hopefully it will be easier to stick with it this time around...the forum has really helped me stay consistent so hopefully it will do the same for you. :)

I'm not sure about formatting for your iPhone (I've wondered that too but keep forgetting to ask)...but I do remember reading somewhere on the site that converting the format can diminish the quality of the track and cause it to lose some of the background little bits of sound that are so finely tuned an integrated. But I don't know a lot about format conversions so hopefully an admin will chime in and correct me in some way...would LOVE to use my iPhone for this.

So just to clarify, if you're planning on using QuickTime to listen do you have a CD drive on your mac? If so then that should work perfectly! I always listen to it on my pc because my favorite headset connects through a USB. I just pop the CD in, play it through Windows Media Player (I don't see any reason why any other player would be any different), sit on the couch and enjoy!

Another possibility...and considering you got BrainEv long ago it might be a long shot...but do you still have the original email you got when you purchased the program? Not sure if they even did this from the beginning, but currently they email you a link to audio tracks that you can listen to as well. It's supposed to be somewhat inferior to the CD but better than nothing. So maybe scour your email and see if you have something like that from way back when? But if you have the CD and a drive in your mac then that's prob your best (and highest quality) method. Good luck!

Hi Sandy, welcome to the forum and welcome back to the program!

Hopefully you got my email with your download link.  You should be able to download the tracks (right-click the link to the track and choose Save File As)  and put them on your iPhone with iTunes.

In the meantime it is OK if you listen to the files in QuickTime.

Let me know if you are having any troubles with this!

Thank you for the welcome messages :-)

I have started to listen using QuickTime on my mac and is working just fine.

Tiffany, thank you for your email with the download links but I haven't received it yet!
I have checked the spam folders. Would you mind sending me the email again please.

I will post more with my expereriences.

I am hoping it will help me get better quality sleep and to help me with my stress, depression, anxiety and confidence.

But, I'm going to be patient and watch each day unfold and accept whatever comes my way.

Hello Sandy,
Level 1 may do just the trick. I slept like a top, anxiety just wasn't on my radar any more, even people who were trying to irritate/ upset.... I peered at them from my "calm space" and smiled! Nothing got under my skin.
You seem to be in a perfect mindset as you are going to take what comes. May it be the start of a magnificent personal adventure (minus the stress and anxiety ;)).
Enjoy yourself!

Hi Sandy,

Welcome to the forum. If you still have difficulty loading into iTunes for iPhone (I use it this way), but are comfortable with folders, there is an option (at least with Windows--it's been awhile since I owned a Mac ;)) to "Automatically add to iTunes" option in your iTunes music folder of your personal stuff--should be a level above your music files. You simply drag and drop the files into here and then you can create playlists for BrainEv stuff. Good luck to you in your journey and I know you will stick with it this time having learned from your first go 'round.
Sincerely and best regards,

AZ Warrior!
